Anti Vibration Pads
Megamat is a part of a range of anti vibration pads and anti vibration mounts from Isolgomma.
Megamat is designed to be an effective solution against acoustic pollution resulting from vibrations and the re-irradiated noises of industrial machinery, presses and air-treatment systems. Our anti vibration mats are manufactured from a mixture of SBR (Styrene Butadiene Rubber) and EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) rubber. The pad is then finished with a non-stretch waterproof synthetic membrane.
Megamat is suitable to be applied under slabs and floating substructure to obtain partial or complete mitigation of vibrations from machinery and precision appliances.
Due to the unique structure of rubber fibres and granules in the mats and the wide range of thicknesses and densities available, Megamat is particularly effective against a broad spectrum of frequency vibrations.
Megamat can be used as an alternative to TICO anti-vibration mats and SYLOMER vibration isolation pads.

Techincal Details
The Megamat ME500 range is manufactured from fibers and granules of SBR and EPDM rubber. The thicknesses available are 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50mm; the panels can be overlapped, combining thicknesses up to 100mm height in order to obtain high performance. The ME10/EPM mat is composed entirely of EPDM rubber to achieve excellent performance at only 10mm. They have a load bearing capacity of up to 0.35N/mm2 or 35t per m2.These panels, due to their low density, are very soft, extremely elastic and produce excellent mitigation and vibration insulation for lightweight machinery.
The Megamat ME650 range is manufactured from fibers and granules of SBR and EPDM rubber. They come in 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50mm thicknesses ; the panels can be overlapped, up to 100mm height in order to obtain extra performance. They have a load bearing capacity of 0.7N/mm2 or 70t per m2. These panels, thanks to the particular mixture of recycled rubber and the medium density of the product, are very elastic and high performing for applications requiring medium, static and dynamic loads. This line has been designed for anti-vibration applications for medium weight machinery.
Megamat ME800 is a high load bearing and economical recycled SBR and EPDM rubber bearing designed to isolate noise and vibrations at source. It has a load bearing capacity of 1.2N/mm2 or 120t per m2. Pad size is 1m x 1m and is available in thicknesses from 10mm to 50mm. These can be doubled to a maximum of 100mm to achieve additional high perfomance. Pads can be supplied precut to customer requirements. Applications include heavy duty machinery such as guillotines, power presses, rotary presses, lathes, drawbenches and inertia pits.
Megamat ME950 is a very high load bearing and economical recycled SBR and EPDM rubber bearing excellent vibration dampening and isolation attributes. Megamat ME950 will retain its isolation properties throughout its lifespan. It has a load bearing capacity of 1.5N/mm2 or 150t per m2. Pad size is 1m x 1m and is available in thicknesses from 10mm to 50mm. These can be doubled to a maximum of 100mm to achieve very high perfomance. Bespoke sizes are also available on request. Applications include heavy duty machinery with high vertical shock loads, e.g. guillotines, power presses or any large machinery that produce a high level of vibrations.
